Should I Hire a Weight Loss Coach?

I often talk about individual approach, which is critical for success. Lack thereof is a big flaw of many fitness projects, as it means that participants achieve only some of their goals, the approach isn’t entirely clear and all efforts boil down to “lift up more, train better, slim down faster”. In such cases the outcome ends up being rather mediocre.

It’s true that a standard program could actually work for some people just like the last pair of shoes at the store might happen to fit you.

But most participants’ expectations range from “well, I’ve made some progress” to anticipated fiasco.

The issue of weight loss seems to be very straightforward: the goal is to lose weight. It’s true, but it’s not that simple. Actions are driven by goals and results are driven actions.

Click here to read more and see a list of main (but not all) reasons why people join our coaching program. Try to compare them with yours, it could help clarify many things. Let’s roll.

What are the main reasons for joining our Weight Loss Coaching Program?

#1. Change the way I look

People from this category typically come with the following requests (quoting below):

  • “I need to lose just a few pounds preferably in this area”

  • “I want to get rid of cellulite”

  • “I need to lose my saddlebags”

  • “I just want to tone up my muscles”

Such requests (or the combination of) often come from skinny overweight women: they wear average-sized clothes, barely have any muscles but quite a bit of fat and they are very dissatisfied with their bikini looks.

All this is rooted in sedentary lifestyle, insufficient protein intake, lack of exercise, vicious cycle of “diet - slip-in - setback - new diet” (often with very low calorie intake) for the sake of some number of the scale.

You, my dear dieters (of which there are plenty), should look at the problem from a different angle: you need to realise that it’s not about quantity (losing X grams) but quality. And quality is a mix of factors and consequences of your lifestyle.

It requires consistent and efficient approach, sufficient protein intake, sensible priorities in diet, incentive to move; embracing carbs to ensure smooth digestion and taking up sports that you’ll actually enjoy doing at least twice a week.

With this strategy even the toughest fat won’t stand a chance.

2. Tackle obesity

The goal here is usually very straightforward. In addition to losing weight obese people also want to get rid of health problems caused by obesity.

In this case the key objective is to minimize body fat via nutritional optimization and increased activity, which will also help reduce health risks.

Whatever your current weight, it can be fixed. Just look at the results of our participants who joined our project to beat obesity:

3. Build muscle mass

Some people are slim and don’t need to lose weight any further. Gaining some muscle mass would be a good idea though. We want to look shredded, not skinny.

Rule number one in mass gain is mandatory training. Without specific stimuli our body will be depositing fat instead of building muscle mass.

Rule number two: high percentage of lean mass. Body fat affects testosterone levels, insulin sensitivity and inflammatory responses. We design the process in a way that ensures maximum muscle growth and minimum fat gain in a client, and make weekly assessments of weight dynamics and measurements to ensure quality muscle growth. Some fat gain will be unavoidable though.

For that reason we evaluate all benchmark parameters before the start and might suggest further weight loss to steer clear of potential obesity in the future and any health risks related to it.

4. Fine-tune diet/improve nutrition

There is another category of clients who come to us because they want to make their diet healthier and more well-balanced.

And that’s where we have lots of expertise to offer. Each week we fine-tune the diet to make sure it’s well-balanced and diverse and meets all requirements for nutrients intake.

Most people who join our ranks to improve their nutrition are also interested in fine-tuning their diet as well as understanding all the why’s.

Are there any other reasons to join the Coaching Program?

I’ve listed only the most popular ones but in fact there are many, many more reasons to throw in your lot with us.

For example, some clients want to:

  • upgrade their skills as a trainer/dietitian/nutritionist;

  • get a better understanding of how to improve the diet of their kids, partners, parents, family;

  • solve some health issues;

  • athletes want to improve their results or get better prepared for competitions;

  • adopt better diet and training practices.

Individual approach

With us people can truly achieve their goals thanks to individual approach. A client gets recommendations and help with goal setting and that is only the tip of the iceberg. What remains hidden is an enormous amount of work involving calculations of various parameters for each and every client.

Every week your personal mentor will make adjustments to your diet based on a number of factors including stress levels and sleep needs.

To hold up your end of the bargain all you have to do is submit honest reports and do your homework and then results will follow.

What’s your goal of 2025?

Join the team and we’ll make sure you nail it!
